Plans and paying¶
Every company starts on Free. Its owner can try a paid plan once, free, and upgrade by card whenever it suits them. Everything happens on the Plan page of the console (sight.raku.so/plan).
The plans¶
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Train your own models and write rules that give a verdict: up to 1,000 photos a month, for one person |
| Starter | $49 AUD | $490 AUD | A hosted model your API can call, reading text in photos, a team: up to 20,000 photos a month |
| Pro | $199 AUD | $1,990 AUD | A faster machine and streaming results: up to 200,000 photos a month |
| Enterprise | Priced per agreement | No limits set here: talk to us |
Prices include GST. Paying yearly costs ten months' price: two months are free. The Plan page always shows the prices Sight charges, from the same records the server enforces, so the page and your invoice cannot disagree.
Try a paid plan first¶
A company on Free can try Starter or Pro once, with no card. The trial gives that plan's features and ends after 14 days or 100 photos, whichever comes first. When it ends you are back on Free, and nothing is deleted.
Upgrade by card¶
- On the Plan page, under your company, choose Monthly or Yearly, then the plan, then Continue to payment.
- You pay on Stripe's own page. Sight never sees your card. A business can add its ABN, which then appears on its invoices.
- Back on the Plan page, your new plan is on as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds. If you were on a trial, it ends.
Your plan changes only when Stripe confirms the payment. If a payment does not go through, nothing changes. Every new project in the company starts on the new plan, and so do the company's projects that are on Free.
Manage billing¶
The company's owner chooses Manage billing on the Plan page to open Stripe's billing page. There you can:
- change the card;
- move between Starter and Pro, or between monthly and yearly;
- see and download every invoice;
- cancel, which is how you go back to Free.
Cancelling, moving to a cheaper plan and moving from yearly to monthly take effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Until then you keep what you paid for. When a cancelled plan ends, the company is back on Free and nothing is deleted.
Free is not listed among the plans on Stripe's page, because nothing is paid for it: to go back to Free, cancel. Changed your mind before the period ends? Open Manage billing again and choose Don't cancel subscription.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries the card again over the next few days and the plan stays on meanwhile. Update the card in Manage billing to keep it. If every try fails, the company goes back to Free.
Who can pay¶
- Only a company's owner upgrades or manages its billing. Everyone in the company sees the plan and what it is paid until.
- A company billed to another company (a client of a reseller) does not pay for its own plan: the company that pays for it decides.
- Your own projects ("Just you" on the Plan page) are paid for by you.
Each change, from a trial starting to a payment, a change of plan or a cancellation, is in the company's Activity.
